I can’t believe that Lilah is already 4 months old. It has gone by way too fast! We got her pictures done at Fotofly. It took 3 attempts but we finally got them. The first time, we went at noon and it was chaotic and very loud. Photographers make the craziest sounds. It’s so funny. Lilah was not impressed and she freaked out the whole time. On the second attempt, we were driving on I-215 and got in a scary car accident.
We had to stop quickly because the people in front of us were stopping fast due to freeway delays. The car behind us didn’t see that people were stopped and he was looking at the radio. He hit us going about 50 mph and then we hit the car in front of us. It was so scary because Lilah was in the car. Matt and I had headaches after but we were really worried about Lilah. She was acting normally but we took her to see her pediatrician. He thought that she had a broken clavicle from the car seat straps. She had tenderness and some redness, but the x-rays didn’t show a fracture thank goodness. Getting in the accident really shook me up. I love Lilah and Matt so much and it just reminded me how much I need to live life to the fullest each day and not take them for granted. It’s important to live without regret. I pray every day for just one more day with my family. I love them so much and it would kill me to lose them. They are my whole world. I tell them that everyday and I try to give them all of my love. I’m so grateful to Heavenly Father for watching out for us. I’m grateful that we are all alright especially Lilah. Being a nurse is such a curse sometimes. It’s so hard to not assume the worst. Sometimes I wish that I lived in ignorance of medical things because then I would worry about things when they actually happen, not before somethings happens or if something could happen. I was really worried about Lilah’s little brain from being shaken from the impact of the crash but she’s acting completely normally though, thank heaven.
Anyway, we finally made it to take her pictures. She is so cute.
These past two weeks have been some of the happiest days of my life. I’m so grateful to be a mom and to have such a loving and supportive family.
Oma and Grandpa Hart’s birthday
My favorite picture. I love the one where I am holding her.
Sometimes when Lilah gets fussy, I’ll hold her in the MOBY and she’ll fall asleep. It’s my favorite. I love having her close to me.
She loves her daddy! That’s for sure.
Lilah’s first hike. We went Geocaching up by Hidden Valley Park. It was so much fun. I love when I get to spend time with Matt. He works so hard and I wish that I could see him more. I miss him.
